The continuous or pulse laser beam laser welding can be used to realize, the
principle of laser welding can be divided into heat conduction type deep
penetration welding and laser welding. Laser welding is the use of high energy
density of laser beam, as a kind of high precision welding heat source method.
Laser welding is one of an important aspect of laser material processing
technology. In geological laser welding diamond drill bits and other diamond
tools are using this technology.
Advantages:
(1) to minimize the heat demand, small heat affected zone
metallographic change range, caused by heat conduction and deformation is the
lowest;
(2) 32 mm thickness of single pass welding welding process parameters
has been certified, can reduce the time needed for thick plate welding can even
eliminate the use of filler metal.
(3) does not need to use electrodes,
electrode pollution or damage. And because of that does not belong to contact
welding process, tools are available to minimize the loss and distortion,
Disadvantages:
(1) welding position need to be very
accurate, must be within the scope of the focused laser beam.
(2) the weldment
to use clamp fixture, must ensure that the final location of the weldment with
the laser aim the impact of the solder joints.
(3) the largest weldable
thickness limit penetration is far more than 19 mm thickness of workpiece,
production line is not suitable for the use of laser welding;
